Short version: we only collect your email address if you give it to us, we use it to tell you about Hyss Audio and Dustwave, and you can leave anytime.

Who we are

Hyss Audio makes software instruments, starting with Dustwave. This site is hyssaudio.com. You can reach us at hello@hyssaudio.com.

What we collect

Your email address, only when you type it into one of our signup forms: the waitlist, the phone reminder, the "join" panel on the Play page, or the step before downloading a recording.
Nothing else on purpose. We don't run ads or advertising trackers, and we don't sell or share your email with anyone for their marketing.

How we use your email

To send you news about Dustwave and Hyss Audio, including early access and launch details for the plugin. About one email a month.
Every email has an unsubscribe link. You can also email us and we'll remove you.

Who handles your email

Our mailing list runs on Kit, which stores your address and sends our emails on our behalf. The site itself is hosted by Cloudflare, which, like any web host, processes basic technical information such as your IP address to deliver pages and keep the site secure. Our fonts load from Google Fonts, which also sees your IP address when it sends them.

What stays in your browser

The Dustwave web synth saves your settings, favorite presets and your own saved sounds in your browser's local storage, along with a note of whether you've already signed up, so we don't ask twice. This stays on your device. We never receive it. Clearing your browser's site data removes it. Recordings you make are created in your browser and are never uploaded.

Your choices

Unsubscribe from any email with one click.
See or delete your data: email hello@hyssaudio.com and we'll tell you what we hold or delete it.
Depending on where you live (for example the EU, UK or California), you may have further rights over your data, and you can contact your local data protection authority.

Children

Our mailing list isn't meant for children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect their email addresses.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
